Carisa joined the practice in September of 2014, after being a client of Dr. Sheppard. She has many years of experience in the conventional medical field from being a pharmacy technician, medical receptionist, and biller. She is extremely passionate about nutrition and has personally studied it for many years. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and children, gardening, being outdoors, boating, trail riding, and taking care of her chickens. Carisa has two dogs, Dixie (a 6-year-old Vizsla) and Suzie (a 12-year-old Lab).
Cheryl started with Sheppard Alternative Animal Care in 2016 after being in the conventional veterinary world as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for over 15 years. She is also a dog trainer and is very educated in pet behavior and nutrition. When she is not working, she takes care of her farm full of horses, chickens, dogs, bunnies, fish, and more! She loves spending time with her husband and two kids and being outdoors.
Angela is a Veterinary Technician who graduated from Baker College Veterinary Technician program 2011. She did work in the conventional veterinary field since 2005 then found Sheppard Alternative Animal Care in 2018. She is very passionate about the alternative side of veterinary care. Angela has a 15-year-old golden-doodle named Ginger and an 8-year-old rescue cat named Samoa. In her spare time, she enjoys Zumba, yoga, dog-sitting for many of our clients, and hanging out with friends and family.
Amanda is part of the Sheppard family and started with the clinic in 2011 as a receptionist. She is also a professional photographer and is very passionate about photography. Amanda has a 4-year-old Morkie named Chloe and an 8-month-old Yorkie puppy named Sophie. When she’s not at work, she loves to spend time with her mother and two sons and work on editing her freelance photography projects. She also loves winter and all winter sports like sledding and skiing.
