This is a simple test we do at the office that screens for Canine Heartworm, along with Anaplasma-Borreli, Burgdorferi, and Ehrlichia. We take just a few drops of blood and is done within 10 minutes. A negative Heartworm test indicates that your dog does not carry Heartworm, and preventative can then be utilized during the summer/fall months.
